I was a pupil at Sasolburg school from 1954 to 1956 (standards 3,4 & 5)  The main school was still being built during 1954 and our classrooms were pre-fabs in that year.. The headmaster was Mr Bester and his son was called Lourens, who was of a similar age as myself i.e.10 years old, I have a clear memory of the school in those founding years,  Above all is the start of my frindship with my many wonderfull Afrikaans friends.

Subject: Update data base

Good day to you

What a wonderful experience to have wandered through these pages bringing back so many memories! I am so sorry that I missed the wonderful 50 year reunion: Congratulations to you all, a school to be so proud of with so many blessings and privileges! I will most certainly keep my eyes peeled for a reunion of the 78 matric year- would love to see so many of you,, so much has happened in the past 28 years - I wonder if some of us will actually recognise one another- I loved reading some of the reunion letters - what a brilliant idea! It so great to read about what happened in people's lives, where they live, the spouses they fell in love with and decided to share the rest of their lives with - children and their achievements - that is just something very special. Keep up the good work.

Just would like to mention that I graduated through Unisa on the 20th April 2006, BCom Marketing. Marketing is my passion.

I have 3 sons, the eldest being 22 years of age and currently doing his accounting articles at PWC accounting firm - graduated honours at UCT Dec 2005 with distinction in Financial Accounting. My other 2 sons are aged 12 and 9.

Have a great week and I look forward to being added to the database and hopefully will hear from some of my friends or other fellow pupils.

May your school go from strength to strength and continue to be the best they can be.

Kind regards

Manuela Verschuren (now Patterson)
